Beth - Owner

Beth has been a fitness instructor for 5 years and an active practitioner for 8 years!

Beth has been a fitness instructor for 5 years and an active practitioner for 8 years!

She began her journey of opening Pulse Pilates Studio in the summer of 2023 with a goal of providing a welcoming, encouraging, and inclusive place for women to pursue their fitness journey and discover their passion, strength, resilience and  self-love.

Beth cherishes the relationship she has with everyone who takes her class or visits the studio. She loves watching them grow their confidence and recognize their own capabilities.

When not at the studio,  you can find Beth homeschooling  her daughters, or at the barn with their horse, Winston.

Mariah has been a fitness instructor for 3 years! She developed a passion for movement and how it allowed her to grow both physically and mentally. As an instructor, she loves helping other work towards that same growth and confidence. Mariah’s favorite part of being an instructor is meeting new people, seeing their progress, and having fun while being surrounded by a great community. Before Mariah was killing it at the barre here in NC, she was living in Iowa, where she grew up!

Her passion for fitness started when she fell in love with the group x community. She loved the energy of the instructors, the atmosphere they created and how she felt after class, so she jumped at the opportunity to become an instructor and the rest is history!

Sonia loves being a part of the fitness journey. Motivating others to reach their fitness goals and watching their strength and confidence grow.

When Sonia isn’t teaching amazing classes or perfecting her own practice, you can probably find her salsa dancing with her husband. Fun fact: that’s actually how they met!  Sonia’s fitness advice: Everyone’s fitness journey is unique, set goals tailored for your abilities and celebrate every milestone, no matter how small.

Bri fell in love with fitness after having her 1st baby and used it as a way to learn to love her body again postpartum. She is now determined to share that love with other women!

She loves watching our pulse girls come back each week stronger and pushing themselves more each class!

When Bri isn’t at the studio, she is mostly likely spending time with her 2 littles! Fun fact: she is postpartum with her 2nd baby! So, if you see her pulsing it out with a baby strapped in a carrier, don’t be alarmed!

Bri’s fitness advice: Everyone has to start somewhere! Just do it, you won’t regret it

As a former college cheerleader and avid tennis player, fitness has always been a big part of Charlotte’s life. After graduating college and no longer having structured workouts, she discovered Pilates at Pulse and instantly fell in love. By day, she works in the food and agriculture tech space, but Pilates has become her sanctuary—a way to unwind after busy days and focus on herself.

A little fun fact about her? She’s a proud GA peach, originally from a small town in Georgia, but now she loves life in North Carolina with her husband and their golden retriever, Cooper. When she’s not working or at the studio, you can probably find her outdoors, enjoying the sunshine on a boat with her family.

Charlotte’s fitness advice: “Focus only on yourself during class. It’s not about how high your leg goes or how strong your springs are—it’s about showing up for yourself, and the results will follow”

After losing her beloved husband, Holly moved 450 miles south in search of warmer weather, sandy beaches, and new opportunities.  She is now finding all of those, and herself again and is so grateful for Pulse and all the terrific women who are helping to lead the way.

Holly’s fitness advice: We are all blessed with just one amazing body.  If we’re lucky, we will live long and healthy lives:  Pilates can be a life long practice to help insure that.  Take care of our bodies, and they will take care of us!

Tianna has always been passionate about fitness. Her passion comes from 20 years of competitive cheerleading and dancing and obtaining a degree in Kinesiology. Additionally, she has been a cheer instructor for the last 12 years!

While no longer being an athlete, discovering Pulse helped Tianna find structure again of incorporating fitness back into her life in a new and fun way. After taking a variety of classes she thought the experience she received from this community would be amazing to share with others!

Tianna has always loved the excitement of helping kids accomplish a new skill so she is excited to help women grow and achieve new goals both mentally and physically.

When Tianna isn’t instructing or taking a class at Pulse, she is most likely taking care of dogs and fostering in her free time which has resulted in foster fails. She has a total of 9 dogs!  4 are here in NC and other 5 reside in Texas, where she is originally from!

Tianna’s fitness advice:

Everything you want is on the other side of fear! Get started and keep going because you deserve to see your hard work pay off.

Emma is most excited to be able to help others get to a happy and healthy place with their body and minds since we only have one body we were given!

When Emma isn’t working out or instructing, she is most likely planning her next trip! She loves to travel and has traveled to 40 different states and 4 countries!

Emma’s piece of advice for someone starting their fitness journey is to remember to start at your own pace and to take care of your mental health while also trying to take care of your physical self!

Taylor is a certified Pilates instructor with a lifelong passion for movement and wellness. Her fitness journey began through playing sports growing up, but it wasn’t until later that she discovered Pilates, which not only challenged her body but also helped her feel her best! That experience sparked a desire to share the benefits of Pilates with others!

Taylor loves creating fresh, engaging class flows and continues to grow as both a student and instructor by regularly attending classes herself. Outside the studio, you’ll likely find her enjoying beach days with her husband and their dog, Hank.

Her advice for anyone beginning their fitness journey? Start where you are, be patient, and stay consistent. Progress takes time, but it’s always happening…just keep showing up!!

Her journey to becoming a Pilates instructor started with simply falling in love with the practice. It’s helped her build strength, become more in tune with her body, and feel grounded.

Now, she’s excited to share that experience and help create a space where women can feel the same strength and connection within themselves.

When she’s not teaching, Lisette stays busy with her daughter and is also working toward becoming a behavior tech to support kids with special needs.

Her advice for anyone starting their fitness journey?

“Give yourself grace, be patient, and never stop showing up for yourself.”

After navigating some health challenges and leaning into a more holistic approach to foundational health, Morgan discovered Pilates. For the first time, movement felt aligned and exciting, an opportunity to truly show up for herself in a physical way.

Since joining Pulse in 2023, she has journeyed through pregnancy and postpartum as a first-time mom, taken private sessions, and fallen in love with the way Pilates supports both body and mind. This experience inspired her to become an instructor, with the goal of helping other women uncover that same inner strength.

Morgan is most excited to witness women grow in self-confidence, connect with their bodies on a deeper level, and celebrate their wins, both on and off the reformer.

Outside of the studio, she runs her own business, is a new mom to a sweet baby, and enjoys spending time at the beach and surfing with her husband.

Her advice for anyone just starting out: Be patient with yourself as you discover movement that works for you. We all begin somewhere, and simply making the choice to show up for yourself one day at a time is a beautiful start. Choosing to care for the mind, body, and heart through positive movement is some of the best medicine.

A fun fact about Niiya is that she has seven siblings and twelve nieces and nephews, so there’s never a dull moment in her family.

Her best advice for anyone starting their fitness journey is simple: stay consistent, stick to your program, and always show up for yourself. You can’t see results without putting in the work!

Mary  has always been passionate about fitness but really became invested during her pregnancy. Feeling strong and grounded during that time really proved to her how important it is to continue to show up for yourself, no matter what. Seeing how taking care of herself reached into all corners of life, giving her more happiness, peace, and patience, inspired her to show others how to do the same as a fitness instructor.

Mary is so excited to walk with others as they work on their goals and discover how life-changing taking care of their body and spirit can be.

A fun fact about Mary is that though she is new to instructing at Pulse, she has been teaching for a long time! She started by working with toddlers, and then taught third graders for years. Although her students have gotten older, her passion for teaching and learning is the same.

A piece of advice for anyone just starting their fitness journey would be, to make your first goal just to show up! Once you start doing that, everything else will fall into place. You can do it!
